The University of Findlay is excited to announce the Seventh Undergraduate Academic Advisor Awards!
The seventh Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award, developed by the Academic Advising Committee, recognizes an undergraduate faculty member from each college and a graduate advisor who has had a positive influence on students through academic advising.
Nominations are now open for the 2025-2026 Academic Advisor of the Year!
Students, this presents the one opportunity to recognize your academic advisor from your college who has gone above and beyond to assist you in and/or out of the classroom. Nominating a faculty member is easy. Click on the button below to submit the nomination form.
The deadline to submit is Sunday, February 22, 2026, by 11:59 p.m. Winners will be announced via UF Update in April.
The seven faculty members who earn their college’s faculty advisor of the year award will move on to compete for the University of Findlay Faculty Advisor of the Year.
The Details:
Currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students may nominate up to one faculty academic advisor for this award. Only one nomination per nominator.
The nomination form asks for a Nomination Statement that should explain why the faculty advisor should be considered for this award. Nominators should include comments that address as many of the following areas as possible:
(1) Cultivates a rapport with advisees and is reasonably available to advisees
(2) Knowledge of academic programs, CORE+, and academic policies
(3) Ability to answer questions or refer to appropriate campus resources
(4) Encourages goal setting and achievements
(5) Supports and encourages student academic success
