Advising is a critical aspect of the student experience.
"Advising students is the essence of our work at the University of Findlay. Good advising requires knowing our students, caring about them, and seeing in them the great promise that can be fulfilled with wise and inspiring guidance." Katherine Fell, Ph.D., University of Findlay President
To help our faculty be prepared to best advise our students, the University takes a comprehensive approach that includes analyzing career exploration and monitoring a students' success towards those goals.
Advisors meet with their students regularly throughout the semester to make sure they are still on a path to success and serve as mentors and sounding boards for students as they navigate through their time at UF. Many times, students and advisors become life-long mentors and friends after graduation.
Below are helpful guides, templates, and tools we recommend our faculty advisors use to help support our students.
