Lesson Planning

The lesson plan template should be used and uploaded in Taskstream where required by your professor.  The documents below include a Lesson/Learning Segment Planning Guide, COE Lesson Plan Template, and the Lesson Plan Rubric that will be used to assess your lesson plan. This lesson plan was updated Fall of 2022 to help you be prepared for the Ohio Teacher Evaluation System, Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) standards.​​

Student Teaching

In order to be placed for student teaching, you must complete the personal data form and student teaching application below.  To student teach in the fall, submit these by January 1, and to student teach in the spring, submit by August 1.  Personal data forms and student teaching applications should be e-mailed to Shelly Gilbert​.

 

 

As you prepare for student teaching, the handbook below walks you through most of the requirements in the COE.  We have also provided weekly reflection sheets as well as examples to look at and the professional development log sheet..

Resident Educator Program

Once you are hired by a school district in the State of Ohio you will be required to complete the Resident Educator program and a performance-based assessment your third year.  For more information click on the link below:
