A
transcript is an academic record and will include only information of
an academic nature. Disciplinary
action is not recorded on the academic
record.
Students must satisfactorily settle all financial
obligations to the University before transcripts are released or
diplomas awarded. Students with delinquent accounts will have a
mandatory waiting period before receiving a transcript or diploma unless
the entire balance is paid in full with certified funds (cash, bank
money order, or certified check).
Requests to have academic
transcripts sent to a third party must be in writing and must include
the student's signature. Under no circumstances will a transcript or a
copy of a transcript of work taken at another institution be released by
The University of Findlay. Students should contact each school attended
for copies of official records at that institution. A fee is charged
for each official transcript.
Transcript Request Information
You can order an academic transcript two ways:
Option
2: You can write a letter to the Office of the Registrar and send it to
the mailing address below, fax it to 419-434-5565 or send it as a
scanned email attachment to registrar@findlay.edu.
Information that must be included in the letter:
Your permanent address and phone number
All names that you could be listed under (married or maiden)
The complete address where the transcripts will be sent
Social Security number and/or The University of Findlay student ID number
The program(s) you were enrolled in (undergraduate and/or graduate)
Approximate last date of attendance
You must include your signature in the letter.
Each
student is permitted one free transcript in the first half of the
year (January 1 to June 30) and one free transcript in the second half of
the year (July 1 to December 31). NOTE: Failure to receive one
free transcript in one half of the year does NOT permit you to request
two free transcripts in another half. Any student not meeting the
criteria for a free transcript must pay $6.00 per transcript. Unofficial transcripts are free, but limited to two per request. Please
