Recurring Programs and Activities
The Rieck Center for Habitat Studies offers opportunities to experience the natural beauty of Northwest Ohio. Activities include hiking, fishing, field trips, educational programs, special events and hands-on conservation work.
Educational Programs and Field Trips
Numerous programs are hosted by the Rieck Center for Cub Scout troops, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, YMCA Camps, and school groups. The Rieck Center also hosts BioBlitzes for UF students and local naturalists and facilitates undergraduate research.
Tri-Beta and KAKE
Tri-Beta and KAKE students gather each fall for a cultural exchange experience that has included a barbecue, s’mores and fishing.
Volunteer Workdays
Volunteer projects have included United Way Days of Caring, University of Findlay orientation service projects and service by University athletics teams.
Open Houses
Friends of the Rieck Center sponsor open houses twice each year. Programs may include guest speakers, guided walks and Storybook Trail activities.
