Built in 2004, the 5,500 square foot facility offers students, faculty and staff the opportunity to workout on many different types of cardio machines and weight resistance machines as well as the ability to focus on the core in the plyo/stretching areas. The Cardio Center is also used by our health profession majors to prepare those students for labs and clinicals. The center consists of the following:

  • Plyo Boxes

  • Stretching Area

The rock climbing was built by Entre Prise, Inc. and consists of five 23′-25′ top rope courses to accommodate multiple users of every ability. The natural cracks and rocks on the wall allow climbers to climb the wall instead of simply using standard climbing holds. To vary the difficulty and multiplicity of the routes, our holds come from many different manufacturing companies and routes are changed as often as possible. Users of the wall also have the ability to boulder on their own up to 14’ on the wall. We also offer one automatic belayer that allows climbers to climb at their own pace and as often as they would like to climb. We offer several climb challenges each year, where participants have two consecutive semesters to complete the challenges. Each participant completing this task will be given a T-shirt for their accomplishments.

Students, faculty, and staff may check out equipment at the equipment room desk for use in the student recreation center or on the outside recreational fields and courts.
