UF Majorettes and Color Guard
Alongside the Marching Oiler Brass at every home football game, the Halloween Parade, Arch Ceremony, and various community events are our majorettes and color guard. Students of any year or major can be a majorette or a color guard member.
The routines for each show are created by the majorettes during the summer leading up to the season. This requires a bit of time during the summer leading up to camp for each member to listen to assigned music and create a routine. This provides each member with an opportunity to contribute their creative ideas!
Rehearsals begin in August each year. Majorettes and color guard move onto campus two weeks prior to the start of the fall semester for camp. Housing and meals are provided. Members are responsible for purchasing their own uniform. Incoming freshman and current students must express interest before June 1 in order to participate in the upcoming season. Majorettes must be able to complete at least a 2-spin and have previous experience. Color guard members must have prior experience.
Rehearsals: 5 – 6:30 p.m. M/W/F (Aug. – Oct.)
