About the BRITE Center

The BRITE (Business Resource for Innovation, Teamwork, and Entrepreneurship) Center  offers programs, events, speakers, competitions, mentors, and support to students, and alumni who are eagerly interested in entrepreneurship or exploring a new profession. No matter where you are in the process of starting your own business, the BRITE Center can assist you!

This program allows students of any major to receive assistance, and guidance if they want to start their own business.

The BRITE Center is in the Garner Trucking Big Ideas Incubator, Room 223 on the second floor of the Watterson building.

Events

Events will also be hosted by the BRITE Center, including:

  • ‘Pitch night’
    • Young innovators can pitch their ideas to current business owners and professionals and receive feedback and advice on their ideas and delivery.
  • Innovation Competition
    • Campus-wide competition featuring students from all University of Findlay programs designed to build your entrepreneurial mindset and bring ideas to life.

Mentors

Mentors provide professional guidance and real-world insight, creating meaningful connections between students and industry professionals. Our network includes experts from a wide range of fields, from food service and public health to youth services and legal compliance. By matching students with mentors based on experience and expertise, we create opportunities for growth, learning, and hands-on development.

College Of Business And Humanities

Speakers

Our guest speakers include business owners, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry professionals who share real-world insight into launching and growing a business.   Students gain practical knowledge they can apply directly to their ideas, exploring topics like building a business timeline, choosing a business model, and understanding funding options.

Innovation. Ideas. Goals. Business Plan. Money. Team. Scalability.

Multiple degrees at Findlay allow you to work as a business owner upon certification. At the BRITE Center, we help in starting your own business and helping you explore your own profession, idea, dream, or goal. With this program, we hope to instill in students of every major, and members of the community, that entrepreneurial ideas can be achieved.
