Overview
About the Program
University of Findlay’s Wellness and Health Promotion program is an interdisciplinary program in which students implement health assessments and wellness programs during internships. The degree aims to promote scholarly inquiry and cultivate professionals who can assist others in developing self-responsibility for their own health and wellness through healthy, active lifestyles. Completion of this degree prepares students for employment in corporate, clinical, or community wellness settings. It also prepares students for graduate study, such as Occupational Therapy.

Curriculum
Course Requirements
Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Wellness and Health Promotion at the University of Findlay are required to complete a set of core courses designed to build a strong foundation in health and wellness. The curriculum includes coursework in areas such as biomechanics, nutrition, anatomy, and wellness education strategies, along with additional training focused on promoting healthy lifestyles and effective behavior change. Hands-On Experience
Wellness and Health Promotion students are required to participate in experiential learning through internship placements. During this time, students will implement health assessments and wellness programs under the supervision of health and wellness professionals. Placements may include corporate, clinical, or community wellness settings. This will provide students with a chance to gain critical hands-on experience assisting others in developing self-responsibility for their own health and wellness through healthy, active lifestyles.
