Pharmacy Ambassadors
Each ambassador brings unique expertise from various tracks and plays an integral role in promoting pharmacy education, patient care, and community outreach.
I’m a Distance Pathway student from Los Angeles. I completed undergraduate and graduate studies at USC, majoring in Neuroscience and Global Medicine. I chose Distance because I travel frequently while my husband completes medical school rotations. Even as a distance student, I’ve had more faculty interaction and support than ever before — it truly feels like I’m part of the campus community.
I’m Yvette, a PharmD distance student, wife, and mom from Edinburg, TX. I chose Findlay because of the passing rate, great communication, and support from recruiters, staff, and advisors. As a student away from campus, the support I’ve received helps close the distance gap. Happy to answer any questions about fitting the program into life away from the University.
I’m a P2 Distance Pathway student from San Juan, TX. Before pharmacy I spent four years teaching and worked as a licensed Occupational Therapist for twelve years. I chose Distance to balance academic goals with being a full-time mom to three boys. UF’s strong curriculum, excellent pass rates, and accessible faculty reinforced that I made the right choice.
I was recommended to UF by an intern at my pharmacy. I took a gap year and worked full time as a pharmacy technician before deciding pharmacy was my path. After attending Oiler Preview Day I immediately felt at home. I really love the class sizes, the student-to-professor ratio, and the ability to build real relationships with professors.
I chose pharmacy because of my passion for healthcare and the diverse career opportunities in the field. I’m also a majorette in the marching band, which has let me express my creativity and build lasting friendships. Balancing school, extracurriculars, and personal life can be challenging, but I’m always happy to share advice on managing it all!
I chose UF for the class size and its distance from home — close enough yet independent. The small classes let you really get to know your professors and classmates. After graduation I want to pursue research in pharmaceutical science. I’d love to help with any questions!
I graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2020 with a Biomedical Science degree and spent a few years figuring out which path in medicine was right for me. Choosing to pursue my PharmD at UF has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. From my first conversation with enrollment coordinator Liz to today, I’ve always felt how much the faculty and staff care about student success.
I came to UF straight out of high school to pursue my goals of becoming a pharmacist. Findlay was my choice for its small class size and hometown vibes — it reminds me of where I grew up. Outside of academics I spend time collecting video games and comics.
I chose UF because of its welcoming environment and successful pharmacy program. During my campus visit, I instantly felt I could belong here. I currently work as a pharmacy student in my hometown, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. Please feel free to reach out!
I chose UF because of the amazing pharmacy program it has to offer. One of my favorite things about classes here is the small class sizes — I get to know my professors on a personal level. Outside of class I enjoy watching sports, playing pickleball, and spending time with friends.
During high school I studied at a Career Tech school for my Pharmacy Tech license. Finding UF, I loved the close, supportive nature of all the faculty and students. As a student, the number of opportunities is second to none: labs, organizations, and clubs. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
I chose UF because of the welcoming feeling that the people and campus represent. I’ve been offered amazing opportunities that have opened me up to campus and let me meet some of my best friends. I’m currently in many pharmacy organizations on campus — they help me understand what I’ll be doing in the future here at Findlay!
I chose UF because of its welcoming community that made me feel at home from the start. Professors take time to get to know each student personally. It’s also incredibly easy to get involved — I’m a member of a pharmaceutical fraternity, SNPhA, Plant Club and more. Feel free to reach out if you have questions on how to get involved!
I chose UF because I really liked the idea of a small school with lots of opportunities to get involved on campus and in the community. I’ve already seen how much the professors and faculty truly care for each student. I decided on pharmacy because of the variety in the field — community, hospital, research, and more.
I chose pharmacy because of my passion for healthcare and the many future opportunities this degree offers. Being in the College of Pharmacy at UF, I’ve already made close connections with faculty and peers. I love all the clubs and extracurricular activities available — there’s something here for everyone.
I chose UF because of the community and the support students receive from professors and faculty. The small class sizes make it easy to connect with other students and get the help you need to succeed. My hobbies outside of school include playing golf and hanging out with friends.
I chose UF because of its small, tight-knit community and the faculty who truly care about your success. Outside of school, I love showing horses, junk journaling, and staying active through running, lifting, and Pilates. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about UF or campus life.
I chose UF for its strong pharmacy program and welcoming atmosphere. It has a small-school feel with many things to do off campus in the community. The program provides a transparent path to your PharmD and opens doors to many careers — from community and hospital pharmacy to specialized fields like nuclear pharmacy.
UF’s Pharmacy program was my goal since junior year of high school. The welcoming environment from faculty and professors was unlike anything I’d seen elsewhere. I’m in a professional pharmacy fraternity, Kappa Epsilon, and serve as a YoungLife leader for Findlay High School. Feel free to contact me at any time!
I’m an Animal Science (Industry) and Business Administration with a Marketing emphasis dual-major. My role within the College of Pharmacy is to help run the various social media platforms and photograph events. I’m also a member of the Western IHSA Equestrian Team here at Findlay!
