Undecided Students

If you are undecided about a major at University of Findlay, you can explore programs of study that match your interests.

Exploring Programs at UF

If you are undecided about a major at University of Findlay, you can explore programs of study that match your propensities and consider careers while you earn credits and satisfy requirements for degree completion.

How to Get Started

Through careful selection of subjects available in the various required General Education/CORE+ class categories, students can explore areas of possible interest or concern.

  • To earn any Bachelor’s degree, regardless of major, all UF students must satisfy General Education/”CORE+,” requirements. CORE+ courses are divided into over a dozen categories and all Bachelor’s degree candidates must complete one course from each category before graduation.
  • Each CORE+ category has a variety of subjects from which to choose, and many of the course offerings satisfy requirements for majors as well. As an example, in the C3 category, there are currently over three dozen course choices, ranging in subject area from Criminal Justice and Economics to Public Administration and Sociology.

Receive Guidance

To register for classes, Undecided/Explore students meet with their Professional Academic Advisor to review course offerings and discuss how those align with interests, CORE+ and possible Major requirements, and potential careers. Undecided/Explore curriculum plans are therefore tailored to each individual student.

In addition to their knowledge and skill, our Academic Advisors have various resources available and can refer students to faculty and support staff to assist you in your explorations.
