About Lessons

University of Findlay offers riding lessons for riders 6 years of age or older and all skill levels this summer. The lessons are scheduled on an individual basis with a University student rider.   

Lessons will need to be paid in advance. All students will use a university-owned horse and tack. 

Lessons for students 6-12 years of age will be given on a lunge line at the instructor’s discretion.  Children 18 and under MUST wear an ASTM/SEI certified helmet.  Bicycle helmets are not acceptable. Riders over 18 years of age are encouraged to wear an ASTM/SEI certified helmet.  Smooth-soled boots with a heel are required.  No tennis shoes or shorts may be worn for lessons.  

Cost:  

$55 per hour for community members, $50 per hour for UF faculty and staff  

Registration Information 

To sign up, download and complete the UF Riding Lesson Packet and mail it along with the Waiver of Liability included in the packet and payment for the first lesson to:
