About the Program
The University of Findlay’s Equestrian Program is a nationally recognized leader in collegiate equine education, offering students a unique combination of academic study, hands-on experience, and competitive riding opportunities. More than a collection of classes, the program is a vibrant community of students, faculty, professionals, and industry partners connected through a shared passion for horses and the equine industry.
Findlay is widely recognized as one of the top equestrian programs in the United States, with award-winning Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) teams and a long history of national championships across multiple riding disciplines. The program’s success in national competition reflects its strong emphasis on horsemanship, teamwork, and professional preparation within the equine industry.
Students can tailor their experience through specialized areas of study, including Equine Business Management, English riding, and Western riding. Each pathway combines classroom learning with extensive hands-on training, preparing graduates for careers across the equine industry or advanced study in related fields.
With access to exceptional facilities, competitive show teams, and a nationally recognized reputation, the University of Findlay Equestrian Program prepares students to succeed as both professionals and horsemen and horsewomen in the equine world.
