Center for Teaching Excellence

Resources and support for innovative, student-centered teaching.

Our Philosophy

UF’s Center for Teaching Excellence utilizes the Danielson Framework for Teaching as a formative guide for building and reflecting upon classroom instruction. Used by educators since 1996, the framework provides a basis for discussing and forming best practices for teaching and learning. Four domains within the framework offer guidance on how to plan for instruction, build the classroom environment, create meaningful learning experiences, and enhance the profession of teaching.
