About the Program

The Computer Science – Information Assurance Emphasis at the University of Findlay prepares students to protect systems, networks, and data in today’s increasingly digital world. This emphasis focuses on the principles and practices of cybersecurity, giving students the skills needed to identify risks, defend against threats, and safeguard critical information. 

Through hands-on coursework and real-world applications, students learn about network security, cryptography, risk management, and system protection. Graduates develop a strong technical foundation that enables them to secure complex computing environments and respond to evolving cybersecurity challenges. 

Interested in a certificate in Information Assurance? 

University of Findlay’s Information Assurance Certificate allows tech professionals to add an in-demand skill set to their resume. Students will be introduced to information security, including security policy, the anatomy of abuses (theft, fraud, viruses, worms, DoS), risk analysis, auditing and vulnerability assessment and much more.
