From your first questions about Findlay to submitting your application and preparing for your first day on campus, your Admissions Counselor is here to connect you with the resources, people and opportunities that can help you find your place at UF.

Kevin Hernandez

Hometown: Taylor, MI

Favorite thing about working at UF: The people! You’ll never find a frown on campus! Our students, staff, and faculty make this a wonderful place!

Best advice for future Oilers: Ask as many questions as you can! Take advantage of any opportunity to travel or experience something new!

Favorite place on campus: The Mazza Museum! It is such a unique part of our campus!

Fun fact about yourself: I played tennis and golf in college!

Liz Trevino

Hometown: Lima, OH

Favorite thing about working at UF: The STUDENTS!!!

Best advice for future Oilers: Join organizations, attend events, volunteer in the community, and participate in leadership opportunities.

Favorite place on campus: The atrium of the Watterson Center – It is the heart of campus where students connect, study, grab a bite to eat, attend events and build friendships outside the classroom.

Fun fact about yourself: Growing up I was a competitive ice skater

Amy Sager

Hometown: Santa Clarita, CA

Favorite thing about working at UF: College is such a big milestone in one’s life, and I am honored to be an influential part of recruiting our next generation of students and their choice to attend UF!

Best advice for future Oilers: Get involved – don’t be afraid to join student organizations and try new things as you never know where they may lead you!

Favorite place on campus: The James L. Child Jr. English Equestrian Complex 

Fun fact about yourself: I teach the Pilates classes offered at the UF Rec Center!

Amanda Kosal

Hometown: Deckerville, MI

Favorite thing about working at UF: Definitely the people – those I get to meet and work with as prospective students and my coworkers 

Best advice for future Oilers: Ask the question. There is a lot of information that gets thrown at you the first week, and semester. I can guarantee if your thinking it someone else is as well. 

Favorite place on campus: Cory Street Mall 

Fun fact about yourself: I grew up and still do show and raise livestock all over the country with my family.

Megan Worstine

Hometown: Arlington, OH

Favorite thing about working at UF: The people. There is a genuine sense of community here, and I love being part of a team that is passionate about helping students find where they belong.

Best advice for future Oilers: Show up, ask the question, join the club, make the mistake, and stay curious. Nothing is lost when perspective is earned.

Favorite place on campus: The Alumni Memorial Union (AMU). It’s one of my favorite places to enjoy the energy of campus and having Jazzman’s Coffee just a few steps away is an added bonus.

Fun fact about yourself: I once flew to Japan for a concert. Totally worth it!

Kaylee Furge

Hometown: Hartland, MI

Favorite thing about working at UF: The connections to the campus community; no matter where I am on campus, there is always a familiar face.

Best advice for future Oilers: Try something new! We have 100+ student clubs and organizations—college is the perfect time to try new things and discover new passions.

Favorite place on campus: Powell-Grimm Theatre in the Egner Center for the Performing Arts.

Fun fact about yourself: I used to work on Mackinac Island over the summer as part of the Mackinac Island Governor’s Honor Guard.
