Admissions Process

Transfer Admission Process

  1. Apply. It's free. ( If you are planning to major in one of our health professions programs or are transferring from an accredited business school, you may have additional criteria to meet in order to ensure all of your credits transfer to Findlay.)

  2. Submit an $100 enrollment deposit - this releases your residence hall forms and reserves your place in the class. Deposit is fully refundable until May 1 (fall only) or November 1 (spring only).

  3. Transfer Student Verification Form (must submit to process your application). This form is for domestic students only

  4. Submit all final official transcripts that are from college-level institutions, high schools previously attended and if you participated in a College Credit Plus program. Final transcripts must be received and evaluated before acceptance or class registration.

After Your Deposit Is Received

  1. Complete the online housing sign up through Simple Campus Housing as soon as possible to reserve your first choice of residence hall.

  2. Health form received and returned.

  3. Physical form received and returned (athletes only).

  4. Payment plan information sent out by Findlay Business Office (Spring).

  5. Meal Plan information sent out.

If You Filed The FAFSA With Your Previous Institution

  1. Make sure the University of Findlay is added to your FAFSA - the Findlay school code is: 003045.

  2. After Findlay has received all official transcripts, Merit scholarships are available for transfer students.

  3. Your financial aid must be in order before registering for classes. **Aid awards may be reduced late in the awarding year based on University's aid budget and number of awards made.**

Registration and Orientation

  1. Credits transfer easily to Findlay! Our Priority Registration Days are where new transfer students can complete their entire application process in one visit.

  2. Attend a New Student Registration session to register for fall classes in May, June or August.  Spring registration typically takes place at the end of November.

  3. Attend New Student Orientation, which takes place each year the weekend before classes start in the fall.
