Ron Walker is a professor and program director for the Health Care Management Program (HCMG) at The University of Findlay. He has completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration, a graduate degree and certification in Business Administration concentrating in Management and Strategy (MBA) as well as a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Business with a specialization in Health Care Administration.
In addition to his teaching and scholarly responsibilities, Dr. Walker has a wide variety of experiences in all facets of health care including hospital settings, outpatient facilities, and mobile units. These experiences gained outside the classroom have allowed him to polish his patient care skills, easily interpret the latest regulatory guidelines, stay informed about the latest advances in the highly technical imaging fields, and collaborate with other health care professionals.
Professor Walker considers philanthropy to be an essential component of his service to the community. Recently, he raised over $1,000 for various causes including Movember, an organization that helps bring awareness to improve numerous men's health issues including prostate and testicular cancer initiatives and the Wounded Warrior Program that helps aid in the transition of wounded veterans back into civilian life. He also continues to serve as a Rotarian, Mason, and Shriner.
His interests outside of the classroom include working out, golf, basketball, football, traveling and spending time with his children.
