The IELP Advantage Program is for non-native speakers of English who choose to study the English language and American life at the University of Findlay.
Program Advantages:
- Students who have already completed their IELP at University of Findlay after 2023, are eligible to reapply their paid tuition as a credit installment toward an undergraduate degree.adaptable, thoughtful communicators ready to thrive in today’s dynamic workforce.
- Eligible students who have completed up to two full-time semesters of IELP at the University of Findlay at Level 2, Level 3, or Level 4 can apply for the Advantage Program.
- Deduct IELP tuition from undergraduate tuition.
- Transfer up to 36 IELP credits towards an undergraduate program of study at the University of Findlay with 6 different colleges and 85+ programs of study.

Program Offerings
The intensive English program allows students to enroll in full-time English language study. Students completing level 3 fulfill their English proficency requirement for undergraduate programs. Students completing Level 4 fulfill their English proficiency requirement for graduate programs.
- Four levels of proficiency available
- Level 4 = IELTS 6.0+
- Level 3 = IELTS 5.5
- Level 2 = IELTS 5.0
- Level 1 = IELTS 1.0-4.5
- IELP courses meet for 18 hours per week, 16 weeks per semester.
- Earn 18 academic credits per semester.
- Cost: $6,406 full enrollment ; $718 per hour part-time
- Immersion activities
- Free tutoring services through the English Language Learner Support Center.
- Full access to campus facilities and events such as Cosiano Health Center, athletics center, swimming pool, game room, study zones, and student recreation.
- On and off-campus housing is available.
- Airport pick up available.
First Semester:
- ENIN 450 College Writing I or 451 College Writing II
- ELAC 420 Academic Literacy
- + 9-12 credits from undergraduate program
Second Semester:
- ENIN 450 College Writing I or 451 College Writing II
- + 12-15 credits from undergraduate program
For graduate students who meet the overall English proficiency score for their graduate program, but may not have met an individual band score for the program. Graduate English courses are offered for Graduate credit, and can be used to complete the English proficiency requirement.

University of Findlay’s Intensive English Language Program (IELP) prides itself on building students’ English skills. The program is offered in a traditional classroom.
The Intensive English Language Program at Findlay University is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) for the period April 2019 through April 2029 and agrees to uphold the CEA Standards for English Language Programs and Institutions.
