Prepare for your future

In your fourth and culminating year in the Western Equestrian program at UF you find your focus, both at the barn and for your future. Senior year is designed prepare you for the next stage of your life, with rigorous riding expectations, lectures given on industry and association standards, and interview/resume guidance.
  • Focused instruction on reining, western pleasure, and ranch riding

  • Assigned three or more horses each semester

  • Ride multiple reining horses

  • Prepare horses for spring sale

  • Learn to break, train, and show a two-year-old pleasure horse

  • Supervise weekend barn work

  • Have the ability to pursue a variety of specialized disciplines
