Psychology

Psychology students at the University of Findlay study the nature of the mind and help improve lives in their communities and the world.

About the Program

Psychology students at the University of Findlay study the nature of the mind and learn how to use that knowledge to help improve lives in their communities and the world. Using scientific methods, students of psychology evaluate and answer BIG questions about human and animal behavior from the bio-psychosocial perspective.

Career opportunities for psychology students are broad and the psychology major at UF is focused on mentoring, experiential learning, career development, and nurturing students as they grow and develop into life after college.

Psychology is also the ideal starting point for students pursuing in-demand careers like clinical mental health counseling, school psychology, sport psychology, and occupational therapy which are all focused on helping people. Psychology pairs well with a minor in criminal justice for students looking forward to careers in forensic settings. A minor in business is ideal to pair with the psychology major for students looking forward to careers in business, marketing, and industry.
