Why study Master of Occupational Therapy at Findlay?
Pursue graduate occupational therapy study in a format designed for working adults. Findlay’s Master of Occupational Therapy uses a weekend hybrid schedule that can accommodate students balancing work, family, and school.
- Study through a hybrid format. Combine remote learning with scheduled on-campus classes.
- Plan around weekend sessions. On-campus classes meet one day per weekend, no more than four times per module.
- Consider your pathway. The program provides options for applicants with different academic backgrounds, including post-baccalaureate study.
The schedule can support commuting students, including those living outside Ohio; review the current admissions and fieldwork requirements before applying.

Course Requirements
Designed to be completed in nine consecutive modules including summer terms, the Master of Occupational Therapy Program includes:
- 63 academic course credits
- 3 Level l Fieldwork credits (120 hours)
- 12 Level ll Fieldwork credits (960 hours)

Students wishing to apply for admission to the Master of Occupational Therapy program must complete the admission criteria and prerequisite courses. Students enrolled at the University of Findlay are given special consideration.
A minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required. Please refer to each program entry point for specific admissions requirements.
Candidates must have completed the following prerequisite courses with a “C” or better prior to beginning the program. Click here to view course descriptions. Students enrolled at the University of Findlay are given special consideration.
Students who are accepted into the OT Program must meet technical standards.
Students interested in entering the MOT program can choose from the following options:
Students who have completed, or are in the process of completing, a bachelor’s degree and the required prerequisite courses from any university may apply through OTCAS one year prior to the year they intend to enter the MOT program. Healthcare experience is preferred, although it is not required.
Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership (BSOL) Occupational Therapy Strand
Eligible candidates include students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or have earned an associate degree in Occupational Therapy (OTA) or Physical Therapy (PTA) and are enrolled in the University of Findlay Bridge Accelerated Pathway MOT Strand or are enrolled in or have completed a bachelor’s degree.

The Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) is a professional organization for students who have declared occupational therapy as their major. Opportunities for leadership, service, education, advocacy, and marketing are provided through involvement in meetings, service projects, conference attendance, fundraising, and social events.
Pi Theta Epsilon (PTE) is a national, specialized honor society for occupational therapy students, recognizing and encouraging superior scholarships. Inductees must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 to be a member. Our local chapter inducts members of both the traditional and weekend programs on an annual basis.
