About the Program
University of Findlay’s Art program offers a comprehensive, studio-centered education that blends creative practice with a strong foundation in art history. Students work closely with faculty mentors to explore a range of disciplines and develop their own artistic voice in a specific studio area. Areas of focus include ceramics, painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, and photography.
The program encourages students to shape their own creative and professional journeys. Many students pair their degree with additional studies in graphic design, art management, art education, psychology, art history, theatre, or entrepreneurship. This interdisciplinary approach allows students to expand their skill sets and prepare for diverse careers both within and beyond the traditional art world.
Graduates leave the program with a strong portfolio, technical expertise, and the creative problem-solving skills needed to succeed in a variety of artistic and professional fields.

Hands-On Experience
Art majors gain hands-on experience in the preparation and exhibition of their work through the annual Undergraduate Art and Design Exhibition and Senior Shows at the Lea Gallery and through participation in local and regional off-campus juried exhibitions.
