About the Department
The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Findlay inspires students to explore their creativity, develop their artistic talents, and discover their unique voices. Through a combination of foundational instruction, specialized coursework, hands-on experiences, and opportunities to share their work with others, students develop the technical skills, confidence, and creative thinking needed to thrive as artists and professionals.
Students have opportunities to study and practice across a variety of visual and performing arts disciplines while building a strong foundation in artistic expression, collaboration, and communication. Through performances, exhibitions, productions, and other creative experiences, students apply their skills in real-world settings and engage with the University and surrounding community. The department fosters an environment where creativity, exploration, and individual expression are encouraged and celebrated.

The Lea Gallery is our on-campus exhibit where students get the opportunity to share their art and participate in the installation of shows.
