I chose UF because of its outstanding pharmacy program. During my campus visit, the environment immediately felt welcoming and comfortable, almost like a second home. Speaking with both staff and students, their experiences and insights reassured me that UF was the perfect fit. I’m also minoring in gerontology with the goal of becoming a geriatric pharmacist! Feel free to reach out if you’re interested in geriatric care, minor programs, or building connections on campus!

I chose to attend UF due to the opportunity to be a part of the BGSU/UF dual pharmacy program. This program allowed me to gather both the larger public school and smaller private school experience during my time as a college student. This opportunity allowed me to have tons of fun exploring the large college town of BGSU including their intramural sports, Greek life, and night life. As well as explore the close-knit community of Findlay. My time spent thus far at UF has been opportunistic and academically challenging, but with the great support you receive as a student including 1-on-1 time with staff members and tons of collaboration with your peers. Outside of school my favorite things to take part in are watching college football, playing basketball, playing video games, and going out to eat and socialize with friends in BG or Findlay. If you have any questions regarding the UF/BGSU dual program please let me know!

My name is Jamie, and I’m a 25-year-old proud mom living in Michigan after moving from sunny Arizona last March. My son is one year old and I’m expecting another little one soon. I graduated from Arizona State University in 2021 and, after 2 years of reflection, decided to pursue a PharmD. I chose Findlay for its distance learning options, impressive pass rates, and the exceptional support I received from the staff and advisors from day one. I can answer any questions about the distance program and how to time manage!

I chose UF to study pharmacy because it has an amazing program while being close to my hometown. So far, my interests have been piqued by compounding pharmacy and ambulatory care. Outside of academics, I’ve enjoyed taking part in many activities on and off campus, including Phi Delta Chi, Pharmacy Student Leadership Council, Unwinding at UF (a crochet/knitting group), and Mortar Board. I’d love to be a resource for you!

I chose UF because of their dual pharmacy program with BGSU along with their outstanding campus and feeling of comfort. All the staff has offered amazing support since starting at UF, and all the students are very friendly. I currently work as an intern as this has opened the pharmacy world and offered me hands on application. Outside of school, I enjoy hanging out with friends, watching movies, and dancing. If you have any questions about the BGSU dual pathway program, working as an intern, or Findlay in general, please feel free to reach out!

I came to Findlay all the way from Seattle, drawn by the close-knit community and strong pharmacy program. I’m currently a skills lab assistant and work as a pharmacy intern, which has given me a great balance of learning and practical application. Outside of school, I enjoy watching sports, playing video games, and disc golf. If you have any questions about moving from out of state, working as a pharmacy intern, or what it’s like to be a skills lab assistant, feel free to reach out!

My name is Flora, and I am a Distance Pathway student from Los Angeles, CA. I completed both my undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Southern California, where I majored in Neuroscience and Global Medicine. I chose the Distance Pathway program because I travel frequently while my husband completes his medical school rotations, and I chose UF for its strong program statistics and high NAPLEX pass rates. I love UF because, even though I’m a distance student, I’ve had more interaction and support from faculty than I ever have before. It truly feels like I’m part of the campus community no matter where I am. I currently serve as a tutor for pharmacy courses in the distance pathway and also mentor fellow distance students. If you have any questions about the program or tips for success, I’d be happy to share guidance and support.

Hello, my name is Yvette Gamez and I am a part of the PharmD distance program. I am from Edinburg, TX, born and raised. Currently I am a P1 student, wife, and mom. I chose Findlay because I was impressed by the passing rate, the great communication, and support received from recruiters, staff, and advisors. As a student away from campus, I feel the support we have received facilitates us in closing the distance gap. If you have any questions about the program and how it may fit into your life away from the University, I would be happy to answer any questions.

I chose Findlay, because I had an intern working at my pharmacy recommend the University of Findlay, when I was interested in pursuing pharmacy as a career. I graduated from Brunswick High School in 2021; I chose to take a gap year and work full time as a pharmacy technician in order to decide what I wanted to pursue as a future career. I was heavily influenced by my pharmacists at CVS, which led me into overall pursuing my career in pharmacy. I came to Findlay for an Oiler Preview Day, and after that preview day, I immediately felt at home at Findlay. I really like the class size and the student to professor ratio, and that you're able to have a relationship with your professor, in both undergraduate and professional. Findlay is also a very beautiful campus, all year round.

I chose pharmacy because of my passion for healthcare and the diverse career opportunities within the field. Being part of the College of Pharmacy has been an incredibly rewarding experience, with dedicated faculty who provide guidance and encouragement every step of the way. Outside of academics, I’m a majorette in the marching band, which has allowed me to express my creativity, build confidence, and thrive in a team environment. Through this experience, I’ve made incredible memories and lasting friendships that have truly enriched my college journey. Balancing school, extracurriculars, and personal life can be challenging, but I’m always happy to share advice on managing it all successfully!

I chose the University of Findlay College of Pharmacy because of class size and its distance from home. The school was a short distance from home and the classes were small enough to really get to know your professor and classmates. After graduation, I want to pursue research in pharmaceutical science. My goal since freshman year is to help other freshman and prospective students. I would love nothing more than to help anyone with any questions!

I graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2020 with a Biomedical Science degree. I spent a few years figuring out which path into medicine was for me, but choosing to pursue my PharmD at the University of Findlay has been one of the best choices I could have made for myself! I chose UF because of the opportunities for student involvement and small class sizes that promote good working relationships with fellow students and professors. From my first conversation with our enrollment coordinator, Liz, to today, I have felt how important it is to the College of Pharmacy faculty and staff that we are successful students and leave as great pharmacists. If you have any questions about how I decided pharmacy was the right choice, transitioning to the life of a graduate student, or anything else, please reach out!

I chose UF because of the amazing pharmacy program it has to offer. When I came to visit, I immediately knew it was the place where I could achieve my PharmD. One of my favorite part about classes here is the small class sizes because it allows me to get to know my professors on a more personal level. Some things I enjoy doing outside of class include watching sports, playing pickleball, and spending time with friends. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

I chose UF because of the welcoming feeling that the people and the campus represent. I also saw many opportunities here at the University of Findlay and I immediately fell in love with the pharmacy program. I was offered amazing opportunities that have opened me up to the campus and let me meet some of my best friends. I am currently in many pharmacy organizations on campus, and they help me to understand what I will be doing in the future here at Findlay!

I chose UF because of it's welcoming community that made me feel at home from the start. One of the things I appreciate most is how professors take the time to get to know each student on a personal level, supporting us in achieving our goals both inside and outside the classroom. It’s also incredibly easy to get involved on campus. I am a member of a pharmaceutical fraternity, SNPhA, Plant Club and many more, which has given me many opportunities to grow and connect with others. If you have any questions on how to get involved feel free to reach out!

I chose UF because I really liked the idea of a small school that still has a lot of opportunities to be involved on campus and in the community. Already, I have been able to see how much each of the professors and faculty truly care for each student and this gives me confidence, as I move forward, that I made the right choice. I decided I wanted to be a pharmacist because of how much variety exists in the field. After graduation, we can choose to enter a community pharmacy, a hospital, a research position, or something else entirely. If you have any questions about Findlay or the College of Pharmacy or even the transition to the University from high school, please feel free to reach out!
