Are you looking for a unique learning experience that will get your students out of the classroom without costing a dime?

The University of Findlay’s College of Education is offering a mobile interactive science experience for schools in Hancock County called Derrick’s Learning Express

This mobile classroom travels to you and is retrofitted with all the necessary equipment needed for interactive science experiments. We can travel to your school or to another approved location within Hancock County (parks, reservoirs, fields, etc.).

Our activities are organized into five different thematic modules*: University of Findlay mascot Derrick

  • Soil
  • Skeletons
  • Water
  • Atmosphere and space 
  • Biodiversity
*New modules will be added throughout the school year.

All experiments are aligned with the Ohio Academic Content Standards and are designed to keep your students engaged and promote inquiry.


Our experiments are designed for students in grades 4-6, but can be easily adapted to kindergarten through grade 12.
