​​​Mu Iota Chapter of Lambda Nu​

This is the Ohio Mu Iota Chapter of Lambda Nu, the national honor society for the radiologic and imaging sciences. This Chapter is established within the College of Health Professions at t he University of Findlay.

The purpose of the Mu Iota Chapter is to:
  • Foster excellence in teaching and scholarly inquiry in the radiologic and imaging sciences
  • Foster lifelong learning professionals for meaningful lives and productive careers
  • Foster highly skilled, knowledgeable, and caring individuals that can provide quality patient care in the medical community
  • Recognize exemplary scholarship

Students may apply to become members upon meeting the qualifying criteria:

  • Professional course GPA 3.0 or higher on 4.0 scale after one full time semester (or equivalent) of a professional program at the University of Findlay
  • Enrollment in an imaging sciences program as a full-time student for at least one semester at The University of Findlay
  • Evidence of professional commitment
  • GPA higher than 3.8
  • Actively pursuing an independent research project
  • Active membership in an imaging sciences professional organization
  • Presentation of a professional paper or poster
  • Competing in a Quiz Bowl
  • Clinical-based employment in an imaging sciences field
  • Attendance at two or more conferences 

Faculty members are eligible for membership upon meeting the qualifying criteria:

  • Actively teaching at the University of Findlay in an imaging science program (full time, part time, adjunct, or guest faculty)
  • Active membership in an imaging sciences professional organization
  • Current professional certification by a nationally recognized credentialing organization


Alumni may apply to become members upon meeting the qualifying criteria:

  • Be a graduate of an imaging science program at the University of Findlay and/or the Nuclear Medicine Institute
  • Provide evidence of a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale after completion of an imaging science program, baccalaureate, or graduate degree. In lieu of an overall GPA of 3.5, alumni are eligible to become members by providing evidence of a GPA of 3.0 in an imaging professional program
  • Provide evidence of active membership in an imaging sciences professional organization
  • Provide evidence of current professional certification by a nationally recognized credentialing organization
